Caught in the Act!

Olivia pulled out her 2nd tooth last night all by herself. Well, it was pretty much hanging by a thread but she was very proud of herself! Of course she was SO excited to leave it for the Tooth Fairy! So we went upstairs to put it under her pillow, all the while having a discussion about 'her', yes I was informed that the Tooth Fairy is a girl and not a boy, because she is a Fairy like Tinker Bell.....and on and on.....a very funny conversation:)! As she climbs up on her bed she is looking and discussing just the right spot to leave her tooth. She wanted to leave on the far left side of her bed up against the wall, I talked her into leaving it closer to the outside of the bed so it would be easy for the Tooth Fairy to reach it when she came in to get it (ya know I was looking out for that Tooth Fairy!), the whole time she keeps looking towards the window, like that was where she was going to fly in:). So we leave the tooth and then go about the rest of our evening. Finally everybody is asleep and I'm down stairs folding laundry when I hear a big thud, which is Taryn falling out of bed so I run up to put her back on and figured this is a perfect time to snatch that tooth. I put my hand under the pillow and grabbed the tooth, as I'm pulling it away Olivia opens her eyes and smiles at me and says 'mommy you have to leave it right here (patting the bed) so that the Tooth Fairy can get when she comes" BUSTED! Thank-goodness she is still young enough to really believe and catching me in the act of playing the Tooth Fairy doesn't phase her one bit! That girl makes me smile!

I love the tooth fairy. It is so much fun when kids go through the loosing teeth stage. Olivia is so sweet and so brave for pulling out her own tooth.
