My Child the Goat!

Made another trip to Urgent Care with Taryn yesterday! I swear this child is going to be the death of me or her!
So, I was chilln' out at the computer during quiet time when I heard Taryn crying. I thought maybe she had to go potty and had possibly locked the door so I ran in a hurry hoping I could get her to the potty before she had an accident. Sure enough she'd locked the door and I also noticed that she was crying a little bit different then the usual 'I'm about to wet my pants' cry (almost a scared cry). I asked her if she needed to go potty and she shook her head no and then told me that she had eaten something! My heart raced a bit while I quickly checked her over to make sure she was breathing okay and not choking and then asked what she ate. She pointed at this little purse that Olivia has (you pop these little light bright thingy's into it that are shaped like flowers and butterflies) and told me she ate one of the 'plastic things for Olivia's bag'! Heart racing a little bit faster, I run her down the stairs and she's asking me for some water. At this point I don't know if I should just wait it out and let it pass because she's not choking and seems to be breathing fine or if I should be a little bit more concerned and take her to the ER. So I called Beau and he thought I should call 911 so I did and they told me to call the ER, so I did and the nurse told me just to be on the safe side I should bring her in. So I get Olivia, wake baby K up from a nap and in seconds pile everyone in the car. Oh, while all this is going on Taryn is still crying and telling me that her mouth hurts and pointing inside her mouth. I also had given her some water like she asked hoping it would wash it down. I called Beau back told him to meet me on base at the Urgent Care and off we go. On the way there Taryn, still whimpering, tells me that 'it went down' and starts itching at her chest. She's still breathing okay, but I panic a little more.
We get to the Urgent Care and they tell me that they will do an x-ray, but it may not show up on the x-ray because it's plastic, but they need to check to make sure it hasn't perforated her esophagus. Sure enough they don't see anything on the x-ray, but she's still crying every-so-often and still saying that it hurts. The Dr. lady or the PA or whatever she was tells me that she doesn't think it's even stuck in there and that she's just crying because it might have scraped her throat on the way down. She says the only other way to check to see if it's still in there is to take her to the hospital, they would have to sedate her and stick a scope down her throat. But because she doesn't think it's still in there she tells us just to take her home, give her lots of fluids and call 911 if she has any breathing problems....THANKS FOR THE HELP LADY!!!!
Beau and I knew it was still stuck in her throat, but we decided to take her home (because home is on the way to the hospital) give her a Popsicle and see what happens. We get home give her some chocolate milk (because she doesn't want a Popsicle, weirdo!) and as she's drinking it (mind you she's still crying this whole time) she starts to cough. She coughs about 4 hard coughs and when she's done she gets really excited, turns to me and says "It's gone mommy! It doesn't hurt anymore!" YAY!!!! We knew it was still stuck in there!!! Then we decided to figure out exactly what it was that she swallowed (because she kept telling us it was a heart and the little light bright thingy's only came in butterflies and flowers), so I ask her to bring me what it was that she swallowed and she brought me these floppy plastic cut-outs that go behind the light brights. They are about 3x bigger then what I thought she had swallowed and Beau and I can't fathom how she swallowed it, but she was insistent that is one of those and not the smaller harder things. The best we can come up with is that she was chewing on it and down it went! So know we are just waiting until it passes :(!
The whole time we were at the UC she kept saying she wanted to go home. I kept telling her to remember this the next time she decided to eat toys! UGH!!! This child of mine never makes for a dull moment in this house. So now we've been to the hospital for knocking herself out, a barbie shoe up the nose and now this......I'm not even going to imagine what is next!!!

p.s. I tried to download a picture of what she swallowed, but once again my camera's being a brat!

Oh, Lenette! Poor little Taryn and poor Mommy! The heart racing is so familiar to me...I hear that never goes away...even when their adults! I hope you have a while before the next trip to the ER!

Let us know if it ever passes. (You don't have to describe it, though,)
