Kerrigan had her 6 mo. Check up yesterday and she did fabulous! She is weighing in at a whopping 17lbs! So far she is my biggest baby, still a little peanut but slightly larger then her two big sisters at 6 mo. She is 26 1/4 inches. And the biggest wiggle worm you ever did see. She bit the Dr. and was trying to throw herself backwards off of the table, all the while with that cute smile on her face! She got 3 shots and an oral vaccination and won't need anymore until she is 1. My poor baby I hate the 'I'm in excruciating pain' cry!
There was one cause for concern, something I've noticed since she was born, but just chalked it up to the quirkiness (is that a word?) and individuality of babies. She has a droopy left eyelid, like I said I've always noticed it, but Olivia was born with super smashed face and nose that was so smashed that I cried in the hospital and mad the nurses promise me it would eventually go back normal (I'll blame that on 'I just had a baby' hormones!). Anyway, I guess Kerrigan's eyelid is hanging over her iris, which can cause vision problems as the eye develops. So off we go to another Dr. appt. I swear I live at Drs. appts. The funny thing is about 95% of the time I'm told I need to take my child to some kind of specialist, there is nothing wrong with them! It seems that the only time my children have been diagnosed with something (eczema, asthma, Taryn's intestinal infection) it's been upon MY insistence and not by a Drs. recommendation. I know it's better to be safe then sorry, but I'm tired of carting my children around to different Drs. office, and mind you none of these Drs. live close by, I always have to drive at least an hour! I talked the Pediatrician into letting me take her to my Optometrist here (same pediatric one that Taryn sees) before I have to drive the 2hrs! to the closest pediatric Opthomologist. So we'll see what they say, I'm sure she is fine, but we'll humor the pediatrician since I don't have to pay for it!

Hey Lenette, Thanks for the comments on our blog you are so good! Hey I just read the post of Taryn and swallowing the light bright thing - crazy! So have you 'seen' anything pass at this point and has she had anymore pain? I don't see the droopy eye thing either, wonder what the doc will say. Hey are you on Facebook or is that just Beau that is making posts on our wall?
Love you - Erin
