Hee Hee!

I don't know if it's quite appropriate to laugh about church and then blog about it, but it was just too funny! We were singing the sacrament hymn yesterday and about the 2nd verse I got distracted with the girls and when I was done I went back to my hymnal to find my spot hoping to rely on the rest of the congregation to find my spot. Well that's when I noticed it sounded like no one was singing but a few quiet voices. I looked up and the conductor was still leading and singing away and the pianist was still playing, but no one was singing. I thought it was just me but then Beau leaned over and was like "why is no one singing?" So I looked at the hymnal and then on the wall were the # of the song was and I was on the right page. Then I looked around at everyone else and they all seemed to have the same confused look on their faces. Then all of a sudden everyone started to sing a little louder, but no one were singing the same words. Okay, so I started to laugh it was really funny! The conductor guy (who is quite old by the way) just kept leading like he had no idea we were all lost and had no idea what song we were supposed to be singing. Finally some lady behind us piped up and was like 'pg. 192' (or whatever page it was). It took a few more moments, but finally on the last verse it went from quiet muffled confused singing to the whole congregation singing. The song that was listed on the wall was hymn 191, but it was very similar to song 192, so the congregation was singing 191, but the pianist and conductor were singing 192! Anyway, it's probably one of those things you had to be there it get the full funniness of it all (yes I just made up a word!) but I thought I'd share anyway.
