A True Hero
Beau and I woke up to the most devastating news this morning. My beautiful best friends husband Frankie was killed in Afghanistan yesterday. How my heart is aching for you Brooke. Frankie has been in Afghanistan since October training and supporting the Afghan National Army(ANA). He was due to come home in four days for a mid deployment visit. We never expected that this would be his homecoming. He was shot and killed by an Afghan soldier as he was running (PT) on the base with 3 other friends. One other was killed along with him and 2 were wounded. The gunmen then killed himself. Of course none of this makes sense, there are so many questions and not a lot of answers, but we know he is in the lords arms.
Brooke and Frankie were truly an amazing couple, a marriage that was truly meant to be. They were the love of each other's life and I know that Frankie would have never chosen to leave his sweetheart behind. Please keep her and his family in your prayers as they try to make sense of and hold themselves together during this horrible, horrible time. I love you Brooke!

they are in my prayers. this is such a sad sad day. frankie was a true hero and a great man. just one of the nicest people i knew.
when I saw her picture I remembered one of your other posts about "help Brooke get a job". I went back and watched it, and I don't know how to vote..but I hope she gets it! Again, made me cry seeing them...so happy!

OMG this is just horrible to hear! My heart goes out to Brooke and the rest of her family! I'll be keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers! That is just So unfair!! I'm sooo sorry to hear this!!
I feel like I almost knew her since you had posted that video job application....it's just unbelievable. I'm so sorry for her and you and everyone affected by this...just horrible and devasting. They are a gorgeous couple.
