Arggh! That's all I can think of to explain my day! I had a Drs. appt. today and when I originally made the appointment for 9:30am I asked the lady how long she though it would take because I needed to pick my daughter up from school by noon. She told me no longer then an hour, so I gave myself an extra 30mins knowing that sometimes you have to wait. I also decided to drop Taryn off at one of those drop-in kids play places so I didn't have to drag her along with me. I did have Kerrigan with me, but I didn't think it would be a problem. Anyway I got there at 9:30 to fill out paper work and I didn't get seen by the Dr. until 11:15! Yeah a little pissed! Oh I was so mad, I was ready to walk out when he showed up. Kerrigan had finally fallen asleep after I'd sang 'this is the way the ladies ride' with her oh, about a bazillion times and had shoved about 20-thousand peach puffs down her throat! I had planned on running a few other errands before I had to pick up Taryn and then head to the school. Yeah that didn't happen! I didn't even have time to make my follow up appt. I was frantic trying to get Taryn and get as fast as I could and then get to the school hoping I wasn't the last parent to pick up their kid (thank goodness I wasn't).
Then later that day I had to run back into town to take Taryn to dance class and as I was crossing the bridge there was a major accident on the opposite side of the bridge where it looked like a car had gone of the bridge into the water( gotta watch the news tonight to see if that's what really happened) and traffic baked up for miles and miles! I was just praying that it would be all cleared up by the time dance class was over. Of course it wasn't! so I stopped at the shoe store with a screaming 3 year old, who hadn't had a nap or dinner yet! Yeah that was a fun shopping experience! I wouldn't have even attempted it but it was one of my errands I needed to attend to this morning which I didn't because of the lame Dr.! I had to exchange some shoes for the girls and I figured I rather do that then be stuck in traffic. Still traffic, then the empty light goes on and I realize that if I'm going to be stuck in traffic I might not want to run out of gas so I head to the gas station with a still screaming child in the back seat because she had thrown her shoes off in the store and wouldn't put them back on so I drug her out of the store in her tights and they were now all wet! Agh! I then called Beau told him not to hold dinner I would get something for Taryn since I didn't want to be stuck in traffic any longer with her so I was going to shove some food in her mouth to keep her quiet. Okay I really didn't say that, but I knew she was hungry and that food would calm her a bit. Thank-goodness by the time I had that all taken care of the traffic had cleared up and I was headed home (still one errand unaccomplished, but I wasn't pushing the screaming 3-year old any more then was necessary). Finally home! And I'll spare you all the nonsense that occurred when I tried to make my follow-up appt. For those of you that have Tri-Care you know what I'm taking about....let's just say as of right now I have no follow-up, I don't have my tests ordered and I'm waiting on a phone call from my something-or-other nurse..whatever the heck that is!
Here's a picture of Taryn in her dance clothes..too cute! But getting her to take a serious picture is like trying to pull teeth! It was her first day and we're just doing it as a trial right now, lets just say I'm pretty I happy I haven't paid for anything yet, I'm giving her another week!
