Sorry the picture is so blurry, I'm not much of a photographer. Kerrigan had her one month check-up today. She weighed in at 8.9lbs and 22 in. This puts her in the 50% for weight and 75% for height. She is just like my other girls long and skinny! Today she has been extremely fussy and has wanted to eat every 2hrs. Maybe she is going through a growth spurt? The Dr. did notice a heart murmur, which neither him or I were much worried about (Beau and Olivia have one and so do A LOT of other people) however, when I told the Dr. that several times a day she goes into these coughing fits and sometimes her lips turn blue he thought it best that she see a cardiologist. He did reassure me that if something was seriously wrong she would have shown signs of something before now. I'm really not concerned at all, but it's better to get it checked out then to wonder.
She also has her Orthopedic appt on tuesday. For those of you that we haven't told, Kerrigan was born with what at the time of her birth they were calling a club foot. Her left foot was also turned a little too, but they were telling us that it was just a positional problem and that it would straighten out on it's own over time. Her right foot however they said might need either surgery or something they call casting. Anyway, since she has been born her right foot has straightened out significantly, but is not what you would call normal yet. The couple of doctors that she has seen since she was born have all said that the foot would probably not even be classified as a clubbed foot at this point, but that she still should be seen. The frustrating part about all of this is that because of our insurance the closest pediatric orthopedic is 3 hours away in Chapel Hill! Of course if something is wrong with her foot we would drive 10 hrs to have her seen, but Beau and I both feel that we are going to be driving 3 hrs for them to tell us that her over time her foot will straighten itself out. She is still just the cutest thing ever and I will keep you all posted when we find out.
