I know it's taken me a little longer then I said to get to my sweet Taryn. I know this isn't the most darling picture of her, but I felt that it kinda showed her personality a bit more. To some that might sound like a terrible thing for a mommy to say, but well...Taryn is...well...she can be a little bit of a stinker when she wants to. But even with a scowl on her face she is adorable!
So the things I love about Taryn.
1. Like Olivia she is just so darn cute and I just want to eat her up sometimes! She has the sweetest smile and these eye that just light up. They are full of mischievousness and sneakiness and just so cute!!! And her hair! I know I cut it off, but she has always had this most amazing hair! She sure doesn't get that from me.
2. She is so full of life. From the second she wakes up in the morning till the time she closes her eyes at night she is on the go. I'm not kidding, once those eyes open she is rarin' to go! If I only had an ounce of her energy I would weigh next to nothing!
3.She says the funniest things! My favorite is, "mommy I have a mydea" as she puts her pointer finger to her chin. It's so funny, it's become a phrase that Beau and I use around the house. Yesterday Beau and I were goofing around in the car giving each other a hard time and Taryn was in her car seat. She looked at me and said "mommy are you arguing with me?" as she pointed her finger at me and then at her. Kind of in the fashion of that famous quote from that movie I can't remember "are you talkin' to me".
4. She loves to talk to other people. Sometimes I'm a little worried about this, but she is always asking what peoples names are. From the maintenance men that come to the house to the checkers at the store. She wants to know everyone name. And then she'll tell you hers even if you don't ask. She gets upset if we leave without asking what their names are.
5.She loves her sister. She torments the living out of her older sister, but if anyone ever does anything to Olivia she is the first to put her hands on her hips and say "that's my sister, leave her alone!" She loves to play with her and they are so cute to watch especially when they are imagining that they are puppies or princesses or whatever the character of the day is.
6. She is so smart. She loves to count and can count to 14 before she gets a little confused. She loves to read books and to sing the alphabet and other songs. She is always asking questions and looks to interested to find the answers.
7. She is so sassy! Okay, so this isn't something I always love about her! But what I do love is that she knows what she wants and will stand up for herself. This may drive me nuts now, but I know as she gets older she will be such a strong young lady. Beau and I just have to make sure we point her down the right path. Some of the sassiness is really cute and funny and I have to try really hard not to let her see my face.
8. She loves to snuggle! Olivia was never much of a snuggler (she is much more of one now). Taryn loves to come and give and get hugs. She loves to put her head on my shoulder and snuggle up to me on the couch. I love her little arms around my neck. It's been really hard for me being pregnant and not being able to let her lay on me or to carry her.
9. Taryn is so curious. She wants to know what everyone is doing. She wants to be in the middle of everything. She's always asking "What you doing?" When the movers were packing our stuff she kept getting in there way and asking what they were doing. She can get away with it because everyone thinks she is so cute and they don't usually get annoyed with her.
10. She loves food just about as much as I do! She is always asking for something! She will try MOST foods and most often then not she is asking for seconds. She could eat all day long if we let her. We miss Nayana ( a good friend of mine from Florida) she was always feeding Taryn! I have to make sure that all food is out of reach to her little paws or she will find it. I love that she is such a good eater!
So, that's my little Taryn. I do love her so much! She tries my patience on a regular basis, and I often tease that I'm not sure what I did to get a child like her. But honestly I am so glad that I am HER mommy. She is my trial in life (for the moment), but she is also my sweet little angel and I really wouldn't trade her for anyone. She is so adorable and has this sweet and sassy charm about her. I truly love my girls and can't wait to meet our newest little girl. Hopefully soon!
