Tryon Palace

On Saturday we had a little family outing and headed to Free Day at Tryon Palace. Tryon Palace is the home of the first Governor in North Carolina. I guess New Bern was actually the first Capital city in North Carolina before it was moved to Raleigh. It is usually about $15 dollars a person to get in so we took full advantage of free day. It was actually a good thing it was all free because we didn't really make it through many of the buildings. I had to carry Kerrigan and she pooed her pants just before we went into the main house (shown below) so we didn't even make it through the whole house. The girls did get to make a mask and color some pictures, but that was about all we made it to before Taryn started to get restless and hungry. We brought a picnic lunch, but we weren't able to eat there so we went back to the car and had our own picnic in the back of the Pilot. Although it was short and we didn't see much we had a great time as a family. I love being with my cute family!
