We had such a nice day today just chillin' at home. We spent the day painting (again!), finishing up the girls room and starting on the babies room. We got pretty far on the babies room, but ran out of paint so that put the rest of it on hold. Olivia helped us paint a little. She loves to help and it is so hard to not get frustrated because it is so much easier and quicker to do it ourselves. But we know how excited she gets so we give in and let her help.
It started to rain a little bit during the day and Taryn didn't hesitate one bit to go out and play in it. She is so funny, I think she would have stayed out there all day if we hadn't made her come back inside. Olivia wasn't interested one bit in playing in the rain. It amazes me at how different they are sometimes. It sure keeps things interesting around our house.
As for the yucky dinner....I didn't think it was yucky in fact I loved it, but apparently I was the only one. I made this Shrimp and Wild Rice Casserole. I've made it before, but I think it was when Beau was out on the boat so he hadn't had it before. It was really simple, but it did have onions in it (beau hates onions), but they were sautee'd and chopped up really small (he still managed to find them and pick them out), then it had cream of mushroom soup, which apparently neither him nor Olivia was to fond of (they picked the mushrooms out too), then little did I know that the one food Taryn seems not to like is shrimp! She eats everything else, but no shrimp. Olivia wouldn't eat the shrimp and come to find out after almost 7 years of marriage Beau only likes shrimp cocktail not any other kind of shrimp. Beau sweetly choked it down, Taryn ate around the shrimp and Olivia picked at everything but did eat one shrimp chewing as she swallowed gulps of her lemonade. I have to admit that I really enjoyed it myself, but it was the first meal that I've ever made that all 3 of them really didn't like. I had to laugh while I was watching the whole thing unfold! I told Beau next time I would make it with chicken and cream of chicken soup and he seemed to think that was a good idea! I guess you can't please 'em all, all the time!:)
